Our Popcorn Supplier
Scouts Canada is thrilled to be working with Kernels Popcorn as our 2025 Scout Popcorn supplier. With locations across the majority of the country, Kernels has built a strong brand and delicious product that Canadians reach for when it’s snack time. Their high-quality popcorn is not only bursting with flavour but is all also gluten-free and nut-free!
We will be offering 4 signature flavours: Buttersalt, Jalapeno Jack, Whalin White Cheese and Cheesy Dill. All popcorn comes in 50g bags, which is a bit smaller than a standard bag of potato chips (here is an image for scale) at retail price of $7 dollars each. Each flavour will be available for individual sales as well as a 4-pack bundle containing one of each.
Shipping & Distribution
To minimize the additional costs to Groups, we have updated our shipping structure. Scouts has partnered with AMJ Campbell to bring your popcorn to a Distribution Hub near you at no additional cost. AMJ is a professional moving company with warehouses across the country. We have secured 28 of these locations to be our designated Scout Popcorn Distribution Hubs!
How it works:
-
On the Scout Popcorn registration sheet, you will select the AMJ Distribution Hub that you would like to pick up your popcorn orders from
-
Your group will be set up with a My Scout Group Shop Dashboard.
-
Sell Scout Popcorn online through My Scout Group Shop
-
At the end of the selling period, Scouts Canada will email you a list of customers (contact info, address, products ordered) that purchased popcorn through your Group. These are the customers you will need to distribute popcorn to.
-
All of your group’s individual orders will be combined and Kernels will make the popcorn for all orders and ship it all at the end of the campaign in the first half of November.
-
AMJ will sort the product and ensure that the correct amounts are available at each Distribution Hub for pickup from groups.
-
You will pick up all popcorn orders from your selected Distribution Hub on a scheduled pickup date.
-
Organize with your customers when they will receive or pickup their order from your Group.
My Scout Group Shop
All Scout Popcorn sales will be processed through our new fundraising platform My Scout Group Shop. After a successful beta-test this spring through Scoutrees, we are happy to share that My Scout Group Shop will be back for Scout Popcorn this fall.
My Scout Group Shop gives Groups their own unique Fundraising Dashboard to personalize and share with supporters. My Scout Group Shop provides an interactive way for the community to stay involved in the hard work and achievements of their local Scout Groups while providing Groups with a seamless way to collect donations to fund their next adventure. Funds raised through National Fundraisers and designated donations will reflect on their Dashboard to engage supporters.

How to sell Scout Popcorn
Step one – Registration
All sales will be processed using the new fundraising platform MyScoutGroupShop.ca. To gain access to your Group’s Fundraising Dashboard through MyScoutGroupShop.ca, you first need to register for Scout Popcorn.
Step two – Group resources
All the updated fundraising materials for Groups can be found in the D.A.M. Brand Folder. Find all marketing materials, order sheet and tutorials in one convenient place. Please take the time to explore all assets.
Step three – Start selling
As always, Groups can sell products through our national fundraisers using the method that works best for them. Here are two ideas – feel free to use one, both or even try something new!
** There will be no option to place a Group Bulk Order **
A. In Person Sales: Collect orders from individuals in your community. This can be through door-to-door, outside local shops, booth at community events, etc. Have customer click on the link to your Group’s personalized storefront on MyScoutGroupShop.ca. They can place their order from their own device. Watch your dashboard on MyScoutGroupShop.ca as you progress towards your fundraising goal!
B. Online Exclusive: Find the sharable link on your MyScoutGroupShop.ca dashboard and share online with your family and friends! They can make their donation from their own device by following the link. Watch your dashboard on MyScoutGroupShop.ca as you progress towards your fundraising goal!
Note – Please try to limit sharing your link with only members of your community. You will be responsible for distributing customer’s popcorn orders.
Step four – Shipping & order pickup
At the end of the selling period, all customer orders will be shipped together to your chosen Distribution Hub. Popcorn will only be shipped in full cases – 10 bags of the same flavour. Your Group will be charged for the extra bags needed to make the full case amounts. You are free to sell them or snack on them! You will pick up all popcorn orders from your selected Distribution Hub on a scheduled date and then organize with your customers when they will receive or pickup their order from your Group.
Step five – Campaign wrap up
When the campaign ends you will receive a report which lists all of your group’s orders with customer details. Once popcorn has been delivered to all Distribution Hubs, we will begin to pull reports and distribute funds from the campaign. Scouts Canada will email a financial statement showing your Group’s earnings through MyScoutGroupShop.ca. This will include all sales activity, the youth's name and section the sale has been attributed (where applicable), and any addition bags added to make complete cases. Funds are deposited directly into your connected Scouts bank account.
Breakdown of sales: Groups receive 45% to fund scouting adventures, 55% goes to supply the product, shipping and distribution fees, platform maintenance, and administrative and processing fees.
Notes – Need to update your banking info? Fill out the Group Financial Request form and follow the instructions to submit.
